just another loverly weekend...

Is it already Sunday night? Holy moly, time flies when you're havin' fun! I vote for LONGER weekends please!!

There were a few highlights this weekend, and here they are in no particular order...

1) Bball chat with my high school basketball coach - I love that we are still in touch and that I still get to experience his inspiration even if it is over the phone!

2) Omnivore's Dilemma book talk/gossip/chocolate covered pretzel making party with the lovely Kat, Lindsey and Laura. It's so fun reading a book with a group of people and getting to share your thoughts and ideas afterwards - I recommend it! Oh and the chocolate covered pretzel part isn't half bad either!

Lindsey showing us the woman in the chocolate covered pretzel blob - you know kind of like trying to figure out what clouds look like :).

Kat showing us how to do a Tim Tam slam. Add this to your life to do list people - it's awesome (and fairly easy to cross off!)

3) Local honey taste test - the neighbor's brought over honey made by their very own bees!

4) Talisman concert at Stanford with Nick - oh my goodness, what a lovely show! I could have just melted away in the a Capella harmonies of this group. I am so inspired by a capella music and the amazing things that human voices can create without any embellishment.

Have a listen here : Amazing Grace

5) Post show Spicy Mayan hot chocolate and Coupa's lovely foam designs.

6) 1st official half marathon training run with Mia and Nick.

7) Basketball Practice - Don't tell the girls this, but I am quickly falling in love with their little 8th grade adolescent sweet selves. I don't mean to sound like a creep here, I just so love sharing basketball with young woman who are eager to learn it and to work to become better at it, because, well, you see, for me, basketball is so much more than a sport - it's kind of like a mirror of life of sorts---and well quite frankly, the way you play games is often the way you play life and there is something about helping young women find their way through life and sport that just yanks on my heart strings. Basketball has been such a big part of my personal development and confidence building and it positively warms my heart to see young woman working to become stronger and more confident on the court and then in life. We had an especially productive practice today and my heart just started dancing when one young lady asked if I would stay a few minutes after practice to help her with her shot. I love girls that go above and beyond.

7) Yummy asian rainbow salad.

Salad Dressing fixins.The colorful veggies.

Happy start of a new week everyone!

Oh my goodness! Yet another full weekend! I don't know what part I love best; the beautiful Amazing Grace, the (tasty) book club, your genuine awesome-ness in teaching the 8th grade girls, OR the whole half marathon training thing!

Okay, alright, I'll pick a favorite: probably the book club! I wish that Lisa, you, and I lived close enough where we could have a cuppa chai and chat about thought-provoking books!

P.S. When you get the chance, I'd love to know how you did the whole link thing and were able to just say to click "here!" I've always wondered how one does that!

book club was fantastic! :) and so fun to hang out with the crazy (but great) gurman family.

i can't wait to hear more about the bball coaching and hopefully we get to go to one!

and i think to myself...what a wonderful world said...

Oh Sadina, it would be great to live close enough to get together for a cuppa chai and chit chat!

The whole click here is pretty simple.

1)When you find a website address that you want to link to, you highlight and copy the whole thing.
2) Then back on your blog, you can type something that you want your reader to click on to go to that page.

3)Highlight that word or phrase and then on the menu above the text block, there is an icon that looks like a globe with two circles that are connected like a chain. If you hover over this icon it will say link.

4)Click on this icon and then paste the link that you copied earlier and voila, you have a link to another website.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any trouble and I can try to explain it again!

A full weekend indeed!!!! I have always wanted to make chocolate covered pretzels! I think maybe just maybe you have inspired me to DO IT!!! They look just delicious!!!

The beautiful music must have been so inspiring!! When I hear raw talent like that I can't help but realize how real God is!!! Although, I secretly wish that he had handed out some of that talent to me :)! So cool that you got to go experience that!

I wished we lived closer too!!! I would definitely want one of those drinks with a design!

Oh and I love your passion for the girls and the sport of bball! I could only dream of someone like you being available to coach my little "ballers" like that :)?!

Okay, me again. So I got as far as the whole click on icon thing and paste web address but then I'm lost on how to then change the web address that you pasted into a word of your choice.

I think I'm slow, and if you're not too annoyed with me I'd love some more help! :)

Thanks Sarah!

Sadina, I'm happy to help as much as I can!

So you are on the right track, woo hoo!

If I am reading your question right, I think there is a simple solution.

If you want to change the web address that your "click here" words take you to, just highlight the word/words again and click on the link icon and paste your new website address into the URL field.

Does this help? I hope so! Let me know if you are still having trouble!
